Giants of the sea
Humpback Whales generally inhabit the open ocean except during their annual migration between cold water feeding areas and the warmer calving grounds. Along the east coast of Australia, this occurs between June and October each year. On this cruise you will see the whales travelling north to the breeding grounds, and back south after breeding. Humpback whales give birth to a single calf which generally stays with the female for a year, and if you are lucky you may also see these calves frolicking along side the adult whales.
